Casting Contests (looking for sponsors and teachers)

Program - We will be
expanding the tackle
loaner program. It
provides a fishing rod
and tackle pack, along
with and instruction book
to area libraries. The
pilot program in Edgerton
has been great and it will
be restocked with new
rods and reels in spring
seeking good locations
for new outlets.
Casting Contests -
We will be conducting
Casting Contest in 2006
that far exceeds our past
schedule. A list of items
will need to be found or
purchased. Good
casting rods and reels,
targets, and trophies are
among the items. A few
Prizes will also be given
as a random drawing
during the contest.
Fishing Clinic -
Fishing Clinics are
usually low cost. We do
need volunteers to teach
and a few supplies. We
are looking for fiberglass
mounts of fish. The kids
love these and they get to
touch and feel. We ask
only for mounts not
wanted or blemished.
They do tend to get
handled a lot.
